Gal pal, mumma to be, and powerhouse. This weeks "Monday's Marigold Muse is our gal Mel Carrero. Mel and I worked together for many years, she was always the one to make turn a challenging situation into positive, no goal unachievable whilst making us all laugh along the way. She's inspiring, intelligent, hilarious and charming, this week we chatted to her about how she stays inspired whilst inspiring and leading others.

MM: What is your favourite creative outlet and how do you stay inspired?

Ooohhh.. this is a hard one to choose! I feel like my favourite creative outlet is working on an unexpected project, sometimes in my full time job and sometimes outside of it. Love a good mood board and Pinterest session, it gets me goin' haha! I stay inspired by listening to heaps of Podcasts and looking at lots of different people on Instagram on TikTok. I love seeing people's creativity and how they flourish.. part of the reason I spend so much time on social media.

MM: What is/are your biggest inspiration/s?

People who really go for it without fear of judgement or not being perfect. It can be really hard to put yourself out there, so I respect that.

You lead a team of young creatives in your job, what is your favourite part about being a team leader and mentor?
.
Guiding people into a really epic result and seeing their talents soar when given the right tools and attitude.

What is the best advice you have received?
.
I love the quote 'Be nice to people on the way up because you will meet them on your way down'... it is very important to stay humble.

If you could choose a theme song for your life what would it be?

Probably 'In My Life' by The Beatles!
